Blaze Hope to See Red in Saturday's Home Return

The Bloomington Blaze, fueled by Mid-Illini Credit Union, hope to see red when they return to U.S. Cellular Coliseum on Saturday for the first time in more than two-and-a-half weeks.

The Blaze play three games in three days this weekend, beginning with a trip to Moline on Friday for a 7:05 p.m. face-off against the Quad City Mallards. The Blaze are 5-4-0 against the Mallards this season, and the Blaze matched their biggest loss ever, 8-2, in the last meeting in Moline on January 29.

The Blaze return home for games on Saturday at 7:05 p.m against the Mallards and Sunday at 4:05 p.m. against the Missouri Mavericks. The Blaze will attempt to "Paint the Coliseum Red" on Saturday for OSF St. Joseph Medical Center Heart Association Night. Fans who wear red to Saturday's game get in for only $10. The Blaze will wear special jerseys during the game that will be auctioned immediately after the final horn.

The Missouri Mavericks return to U.S. Cellular Coliseum on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. to face the Blaze on a Casey's 8 Gallons Day. Admission on Sunday is only $8 with a voucher from area Casey's General Stores for each eight gallons of fuel. Fans are also invited to skate with the Blaze after the game. The Blaze are 2-4-0 against the Mavericks this season but haven't met since a 7-3 Blaze win in Bloomington on December 16.
