Boston responded just thirty seconds later as Kyle Jackson found the lower post of the next off of an assist from midfielder Cal Dearth. The two teams would battle back and forth in a high-intensity first quarter that ended with a 3-4 Boston lead.Â
Boston used goals from Challen Rogers and Ryland Rees to build to a 3-9 lead late in the second quarter with a 2-pointer from Rees capping five unanswered points from the Cannons. The Blaze got much-needed goals from Shayne Jackson and Bryan Cole as they attempted to keep pace with the Cannons, who led 5-10 at halftime.Â
