
Blaze Add Local Prospects To Camp Roster

Rolling Meadows, Illinois - Forward, Aaron Schwartz from Schaumberg, Illinois and who skated for DePaul University is just one of the local prospects the Chicago Blaze are pleased to announce as additions to their 2009 - 2010 training camp roster. The season gets underway with the opening of training camp on Monday October 12, 2009 starting with the first on ice practice at 8 am. All sessions will be at West Meadows Arena in Rolling Meadows, Illinois and are open and free to the public. The camp concludes with an exhibition game at West Meadows Arena on October 17th at 7pm as the Blaze host the Madison IceMuskies.
With training camp less than a week away the Blaze announce the addition of the following players. Joining Schwartz as forward additions are Tony Giacalone of Darien, Il., Andy Haase, of Gurnee, Il., and Phil ( P J ) Hoss, who played in 12 regular season and 2 playoff games with the Blaze last season. Invited defensemen include Andrew Corvo of Oak Park, Il., Mike Mannina of Schaumberg and Nick Vertucci, who was drafted in the AAHL free agent camp draft. Goaltending spots have been awarded to Danny Codd and Eric Richardson, both of Skokie, Il., and Jon Smarsh of Geneva, Il., who currently is at the Quad City Mallards training camp.
