
Blanchard traded to Rimouski

BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 - The Victoriaville Tigres and the Rimouski Océanic traded assets late last night. The Tigres sent goaltender Jean-Christophe Blanchard (87-12-12) to the Océanic for defenseman Louis-Ãtienne Leblanc (87-01-05) and a fifth round pick in the 2009 QMJHL entry draft.
Blanchard is in his fourth Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season. In nineteen appearances, Blanchard has registered eight wins and nine losses with a 3.62 goals-against-average and .890 save percentage.
Louis-Ãtienne Leblanc, who was born in Victoriaville, has six goals and eight helpers as well as a -14 rating in twenty-nine games so far this season.
