Nashua Silver Knights News Release

Nashua, NH - The Nashua Silver Knights are excited to announce BJ Neverett has been named Manager for the 2012 season.

Previously Neverett served as the Silver Knights Assistant Coach during the 2011 Futures Collegiate Baseball League Championship season.

Neverett replaces Mike Chambers, who had to step down due to work obligations at Franklin Pierce.

"We are excited to elevate BJ to our manager's position," said Silver Knights President Tim Bawmann. "He has a wealth of knowledge and was a vital piece in the construction of our Championship team last season.

Neverett has already begun construction on the Silver Knights 2012 team, re-signing six players from last year's championship team, including the 2011 league leader in batting average (.376) and Merrimack, NH native, Logan Gillis.

"The Silver Knights are dedicated to showcasing local talent on the field, and that includes the coaches," said Bawmann. "Neverett's long tenure as the head baseball coach at Nashua South High School and in local youth baseball further solidifies our commitment in making the Nashua Silver Knights a community focused team."

The Silver Knights will be looking to defend their 2011 FCBL championship this summer at Historic Holman Stadium.
