
Bismark takes on Alberta Lea

The Bismarck Bobcats (35-13-2, 72 points) play a two-game home series against the Albert Lea Thunder (4-43-4, 12 points) beginning Friday night in the V.F.W. Sports Center. Currently, the Thunder have won two of their past four games against the top two teams in the Central Division (Bobcats and North Iowa Outlaws). Bismarck's magic number to clinch the division is 9 points.
The Bobcats lost to Albert Lea on February 28th in overtime 5-4. Two of the four wins for the Thunder has been against the Bobcats this season.
Presently, the Bobcats are the only team in the North American Hockey League to be in the top five in both the power play and penalty kill. Bismarck is 18.3% on the power play (4th in NAHL) and is 88.5% (2nd in NAHL). The Bobcats PK has only allowed one power play goal for the oppositions last 46 chances.
Albert Lea's power play is ranked last in the NAHL at 9.7%, while their penalty kill is also ranked 19th in the league at 77.1%.
