
Birmingham's Craig Simchuk Named Warrior Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Craig Simchuk of the Birmingham Bulls is the Warrior Player of the Week for March 5-11.
Simchuk scored three goals, including one game-winner, and added an assist as Birmingham swept a pair of games from second place Pensacola to extend their winning streak to four games and move to within one point of the final playoff spot.
On Friday, the Winnipeg, MB-Ënative scored a power play goal and assisted on the clinching empty-netter as the Bulls doubled-up Pensacola, 6-3. The following night, Simchuk scored two power play goals, including the game-winner 1:24 into overtime, as Birmingham downed the Ice Flyers 2-1.
Now in his fourth professional season, Simchuk is currently riding a career-best five-game point streak (4g, 4a).
