Billy White Named to NBLC 10th Anniversary All-Time Team

(Toronto, ON) - - He is a living legend still dominating on the court, a player who "walks in the door as a triple-double just waiting to happen" - and now he becomes the second active player to be named about the league's all-time great.
Today, the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) named Billy White to the 10th Anniversary All-Time Team, comprised of the 10 greatest players in league history. Further players will be announced on the league homepage (nblcanada.ca) and social media channels through from April 14.
"Billy is one of, if not the, best power forward to come into our league - and he just keeps getting better and better," said Audley Stephenson, NBLC Vice-president of Basketball Operations. "He is absolute skill personified. I still remember his 52-point effort as a member of the Moncton Magic. It was the most efficient displays of shooting in league history; he did it from the inside, from the outside, off the bounce, fast break. He has so many ways to impact a game."
Playing with the Halifax Hurricanes (2015-18), Moncton Magic (2018-20), and Windsor Express (2021-), White is the reigning NBLC MVP (2020) and a two-time NBLC champion (2016, 2019). The 6-foot-8-inch forward continues to climb the league's all-time rankings in games played (No. 10), points (No. 4), rebounds (No. 4), field goals (No. 3), free throws (No. 10), and assists (No. 10). The NBLC 10th Anniversary All-Time Team was selected by a 13-person committee of former league personnel, coaches, and front office staff. Voters selected players based on numerous factors, including impact on league, on-court play, longevity, representative of league values on and off the court, influence, and community involvement.
The NBLC 10th Anniversary All-Time Team includes, so far, in numerical order:

No. 9. Marvin Phillips, London Lightning (2012-19), KW Titans (2019-20)
No. 8. Carl English, St. John's Edge (2017-20)
No. 7. Quinnel Brown, Quebec Kebs (2011-12), Halifax Rainmen (2012-13), Windsor Express (2013-20)
No. 6. Ryan Anderson, Ottawa SkyHawks (2013-14), Windsor Express (2014-15, 2018-19), London Lightning (2015-18)
No. 5. Billy White, Halifax Hurricanes (2015-18), Moncton Magic (2018-20), and Windsor Express (2021-)
