Bighorns select Whittemore Peterson Institute for April 2nd Charity of the Night

Reno- The Reno Bighorns announce the selection of the Whittemore Peterson Institute as the charity of the night on Thursday, April 2nd. The Whittemore Peterson Institute for Neuro Immune Disease exists to bring discovery, knowledge, and effective treatments to patients with illnesses that are caused by acquired dysregulation of both the immune system and the nervous system, often resulting in life long disease and disability. Some of these diseases include ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, atypical MS, and autism.

A portion of the evening's ticket sales will go directly to the Institute to support the local effort in education and research.

The Reno Bighorns' inaugural season will have only have 4 games left beginning the April 4th game. They are proud to participate in a number of local charities and contribute some of its proceeds to benefit these charities. They continue to support the local community by reaching out to the public through player/dancer appearances, coaching clinics and a number of other partnerships.
