Bighorns Pre-Tryout Dance Workshop Scheduled for Sunday

RENO, NEV., August 13, 2012 - The Reno Bighorns will hold a pre-tryout dance workshop this Sunday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The team encourages anyone who plans on auditioning for the dance team to attend the workshop.

The pre-tryout workshop will be run by Lady Bighorns Director, Brie Edmunds. The workshop will act as a mock audition and will feature the choreography style that will be taught at auditions. Participants are asked to come with full performance hair and make-up as well as an audition outfit to get individual feedback from Edmunds on appearance and performance. The cost for the workshop is $50, and any girl who participates will have the regular tryout fee waived.

The Lady Bighorns tryouts will be held Sunday, September 9. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. with tryouts beginning at 10:00 a.m. Participants will learn dance routines from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at which point they will break for two hours and return at 3:00 p.m. to perform routines in front of a team of judges. For any participants not attending the pre-tryout workshop, the cost for tryouts is $35 before September 5. After that, the cost for tryouts is $45. Both the pre-tryout workshop and tryouts will take place at FIT Reno, located at 5301 Longley Lane, Suite C-81.

The Lady Bighorns are Reno's only professional dance team. Throughout the season, they entertain fans with their high-energy dance routines during timeouts, breaks and halftime. The Lady Bighorns are also out and about in Reno at events. They join the Bighorns players and staff in making our fans feel like family.
