
Bighorns Find Rhythm in Win Over Vipers

RENO, NEV.- With newly acquired center David Harrison and point guard Will Blalock in the starting lineup, the Reno Bighorns found great offensive rhythm and defeated the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 114-108 Tuesday night. Andre Emmett led the scoring charge with 35 points and Blalock had 15 points, seven assists, five rebounds and six steals in the win.
The Bighorns' win ended a four-game losing streak for the team and extended the Vipers losing streak to six losses in a row. The Bighorns shot 46.4 percent from the field and outrebounded the Vipers 50-45.
The Bighorns led by as many as 29 points in the third quarter, but the Vipers used a full court press to create turnovers and cut the lead to as many as five points with under a minute left in the game.
Mo Charlo had the team's only double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds and Antoine Wright posted 19 points and nine rebounds. Harrison had seven points and four rebounds in his Bighorns debut.
The Bighorns travel to Texas for a game against the Legends on Thursday. The team returns to Reno for a March 30 matchup against the Idaho Stampede at the Reno Events Center.
