Big Win Propels Gladiators Back to No. 2 in Latest AFL vPower Rankings

CHICAGO - The Cleveland Gladiators (10-1) rebounded from their first loss of the season to put on a show in Week 13, lighting up the scoreboard for an AFL season-high 86 points in a huge divisional victory over the Iowa Barnstormers (6-6) on CBS Sports Network. The win propelled the Gladiators back up one spot to No. 2 in the latest AFL vPower Rankings, as tabulated on AFLFieldPass.com. Cleveland will look to further distance themselves from the pack in the American Conference this weekend as they host the New Orleans VooDoo (2-9) 7:00 p.m. ET Saturday on ESPN3.

The undefeated Arizona Rattlers (12-0) found themselves in a back-and-forth game with the Portland Thunder (3-9) last week, but pulled away in the final quarter to stay perfect and tie the AFL record for most consecutive wins to start a season. The Rattlers can break that record and tie the League mark for the longest winning streak in a single-season (13) with a victory over the San Antonio Talons (1-11) in Week 14. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET Saturday on ESPN3.

The Pittsburgh Power (9-3) slid down one spot to No. 3 in this week's vPower Rankings, despite a convincing 65-26 victory over the New Orleans VooDoo last week. Pittsburgh will look to secure the first winning season in franchise history this Saturday as they meet their instate rival, the Philadelphia Soul (6-6), in the "Keystone Collision" Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN3.

Staying put at No. 4 in this week's vPower Rankings are the San Jose SaberCats (8-4), who handled the LA KISS (2-9), 63-35 in Week 13. The SaberCats can clinch a playoff berth with a win this week as they host the Spokane Shock (6-6) in "NET10 Wireless Arena Football Saturday" action on CBS Sports Network. Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. ET Saturday night.

A big road win over the San Antonio Talons in Week 13 boosted the Orlando Predators (7-5) back up four spots to No. 5 in this week's vPower Rankings. The Predators return home this Thursday to host the Jacksonville Sharks (4-7) in hopes of completing a season sweep of their instate rival. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday on ESPN3.
