
Big Sky Thunder announces Team Sports Medicine Doctor

The Big Sky Thunder is proud to announce their new team sports medicine doctor, Erica Peterson, MD, CAQSM. Erica Peterson, MD is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine as well an accredited fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine in Billings. Dr. Peterson is a Board Certified Sports Medicine Specialist and has worked extensively with community, high school, college and professional level athletes in Billings, Bozeman and Sun Valley. She joined Bozeman Creek Family Health in August 2005.
After competing in the Seattle Premier Select Soccer League, she competed in the NCAA Division II League while in college. Subsequently, she mountain bike raced semi-professionally in the Boise area. Dr. Peterson currently competes all around the Northern Rockies on horseback in Three Day Eventing, a.k.a. the "horse triathlon".
Her career interests include: managing medical problems specific to the athlete, exercise prescription, and overall wellness.
Dr. Peterson looks forward to serving as the Primary Sports Medicine Physician for Big Sky Thunder.
