Bendross to Sign Autographs at Lakeland Storm Game

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm's Demetris Bendross will sign autographs at Johnny Johnson Stadium on Saturday, September 2 from 3-4 p.m. when the Lakeland Storm take on the Lakeland Predators in the mini-War on I-4 in all age groups beginning at 9 a.m.

Bendross, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound Miami native and Florida A&M alum made 55 catches for 765 yards in 2006. He also hauled in 11 touchdowns and scored once returning kickoffs. Entering his third AFL season, Bendross has racked up 68 catches and 977 yards with 16 touchdowns.

The Tampa Bay Storm will also be selling season tickets for the 2007 season presented by Champs Sports, Where Sport Lives throughout the day. The Storm will donate 20 percent of all tickets sold tomorrow to the Lakeland Storm and Predators.

The Lakeland Storm have six separate divisions from flag football to seniors featuring teams and cheerleaders. They are affiliated with American Youth Football and USA Football.

Bendross will participate in a honorary coin flip prior to the senior division game at 4 p.m. The game will also feature an Ironman of the Game, similar to all AFL contests.

Johnny Johnson Stadium and Lakeland Kathleen Senior High Field is 2600 Crutchfield Road in Lakeland.
