Bells Release 2019 West Coast League Schedule
November 1, 2018 - West Coast League (WCL)
Bellingham Bells News Release
The Bellingham Bells are excited to announce the release of the 2019 West Coast League schedule. The Bells will play a total of 56 games this summer, 29 of which will be at home.
For the second year in a row, the Bells will open the season with the Kelowna Falcons, the WCL's 2018 North Division champion. The Bells & Falcons will face off in Bellingham to begin the 2019 season, commencing with a home opener $2 Tuesday game on Tuesday, June 4th. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
2019 Schedule Highlights include:
54 West Coast League games
27 home games
Multiple "$2 Tuesday" promotions and several other fun promotional events
Monday - Saturday home games beginning at 6:35 p.m.
Sunday afternoon home games beginning at 1:05 p.m.
New for 2019 is an earlier Sunday start time, with first pitch moving from 3:05 p.m. to 1:05 p.m. A decision based on weather and fan feedback, the new Sunday start time should allow fans to take in a Sunday day game without subjecting themselves to the hottest heat of the day during warmer months. Sundays will continue to feature family activities as in year's past.
"We look forward to welcoming fans back for another great season in 2019," Bells' general manager Stephanie Morrell said. "The 2019 schedule includes some competitive matchups throughout the WCL. Fans can also look forward to a full slate of promotions and giveaways to make their experience at Joe Martin Field extra special. We can't wait to get the new season underway!"
The Ridgefield Raptors are the newest addition to the WCL for 2019, and will join the WCL's South Division alongside the Bend Elks, Corvallis Knights, Cowlitz Black Bears, Portland Pickles and Walla Walla Sweets. The North Division will remain the same as 2018, consisting of the Bells, Kelowna Falcons, Victoria HarbourCats, Wenatchee AppleSox and Yakima Valley Pippins.
The Bells are finalizing the 2019 promotional schedule, which will be available at a later date. For more information about the 2019 schedule, visit http://bellinghambells.com/schedule/game-schedule%20or%20call%20(360) 527-1035.
