
Bello and Bullpen Deal in 5-1 Victory

The Tucson Toros defeated the Long Beach Armada 5-1 on Monday night at Hi Corbett Field.
Toros SP Cibney Bello delivered a masterful performance going 7 innings and allowing 1 ER off of only 6 hits. The victory improves his record to a perfect (2-0) on the season.
Toros C Luis Apodaca returned to action after being involved in a scary collision in the series opening game on Saturday night. He went 1-3 with a double and then later scored a run off of a wild pitch.
CF Andre Marshall and SS Ryan Priddy turned in multi-hit performances for the Toros with Priddy going 2-3 and Marshall going 2-4 with a triple and RBI.
Tucson has an exhibition celebrity softball game scheduled for Thursday, July 9, and will then face the Armada in Long Beach for a 3 game series before they break for the All-Star Game on July 14.
The next home game for the Toros will be game one of a three game series against the Victoria Seals on July 24, gametime is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
