Bellingham, Wash. - The Bellingham Slam announced today that the team has re-signed four players from their successful first season in the American Basketball Association. The four players are center Brian Dennis, forward Michael Parker, and guards Jacob Stevenson and Brandon Hartley.

Dennis, 25, started nearly every game for the Slam at center, averaging 7.4 points and a team-high 8.8 rebounds per game. Dennis also led the team in field goal percentage (63.0) and blocked shots (32). Dennis, a four-year starter at Western Washington, still holds the PacWest/Great Northwest Athletic Conference record for career field goal percentage at 62.2.

Parker, 24, was the Slam's second-leading scorer last season behind Caleb Gervin with 16.0 points per game. Parker was named ABA Player of the Week after he scored a career-high 32 points at Tijuana on December 30, 2005, and was later selected to participate in the ABA All-Star Game slam dunk contest in Miami in February.

Stevenson, 26, signed with the Slam last season and continues a basketball career in Bellingham that has seen him star at Sehome High School and Western Washington University. Stevenson averaged ten points per game last season for the Slam, with a career-high of 22 points coming on February 19 against Tim Hardaway's Florida Pit Bulls.

Hartley, 24, was the Slam's third-leading scorer last season with 15.7 points per game, with a career high of 30 points coming at San Jose on January 14. Prior playing for the Slam, Hartley starred at Saint Martin's College and currently ranks seventh among GNAC career scoring leaders.

Last season, the Slam finished with a 20-15 record and reached the quarterfinals of the ABA Championship Tournament. The Slam's 2006-07 season will tip-off this Novemeber, with a 36-game schedule to be released by the league next week.
