Bellingham Bells News Release
The Bellingham Bells have partnered with Sound Beverage to present a special bobblehead honoring Bells pitching coach Jim Clem. The first 750 fans in attendance on Saturday, July 26 will receive a special-edition bobblehead in the likeness of Coach Clem.
With a long and storied history in baseball around the Pacific Northwest, Coach Clem has been the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator of the Bellingham Bells since 2011. Prior to his tenure with the Bells, Clem was the Head Baseball Coach at Burlington-Edison High School, where he had 481 wins and made 15 state tournament appearances. In May 2014, Coach Clem will be inducted into the WIAA (Washington Interscholastic Activities Association) and Central Washington University Athletics Hall of Fames.
"We are extremely proud to have Jim Clem on the Bells' coaching staff, and creating a bobblehead is a really fun way to honor him," said Bells general manager Nick Caples. "Not only will our fans really enjoy this giveaway, but it is a sincere and fun way to commemorate one of the best in the business. With all of the accolades that Coach Clem has received over the years, we hope he has a little bit more space in his trophy case to make room for one more piece!"
First pitch for the July 26 contest versus Cowlitz is 7:05 p.m. Gates will open at 6 p.m.
