Beijing Holds Undermanned Millrats At Bay

Singapore January 8th: The Beijing Aoshen Olympians held the undermanned Manchester Millrats at bay for a 109-99 win.
Travel woes out of LAX left the Millrats with only 6 players including one still nursing an ankle sprain (Souleymane Wane). Missing was ABA All Star Rob Sanders and fourth leading scorer John Huggins, not to mention Rashid Al-Kaleem, Chris Burns, and 6'11 Ife Anosike.
"Super-guards" Ismael Caro and Anthony Anderson as the Beijing Coach Paul Coughter called them following the match, scored 2/3's of the Millrats points in both games on a variety of ways. By Tuesday's game the Singaporean crowd was cheering almost exclusively for the underdog Millrats, as Caro and Anderson provided amazing play after amazing play.
But down the stretch, the Olympians depth and rebounding proved too much, and they pulled away on back to back three pointers by Jamel Staten and LA Lakers draft pick Sun Yue (18 points).
"I couldnt be more proud of the team. Despite the nightmarish travel debacle, fatigue, and injury issues, they played their hearts out with passion and never complained," stated Millrats Principal Owner Jason Briggs.
Caro and Anderson led Manchester with 30 and 26 respectively. Staten led Beijing with 37 points.
Manchester is currently on the way back to New Hampshire to regroup, and get ready to travel into hostile territory in Burlington, Vermont on Saturday, and then Quebec on Sunday.
