Bees Back On The Road To Odessa

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release


HIDALGO, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees will be back on the road to compete against the Odessa Jackalopes at the Ector County Coliseum on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5 at 7:17 p.m.

After experiencing two tough losses against the Wichita Falls Wildcats on home ice, the Bees are determined to take away two wins from the Jackalopes. "We're prepared by working hard and competing in practice; that preparation is going to give us the best chance to succeed this weekend. We learned from the home opener loss, we need to move forward and focus on the upcoming games" says Killer Bee Captain, Tyler Bruneteau.

The Odessa Jackalopes celebrate their 17th year of hockey in the Permian Basin. Currently they hold a record of 2 - 7 - 0 (wins - loss - overtime loss) and stands in sixth place in the South Divison. Forward Jake Kreutzer is their scoring leader.

The Killer Bees have a record of 2 - 3 - 3. In the division the Bees stand in fifth place. Forward Ben Greiner from Newport Beach, CA is the scoring leader on the team.
