Beef to Celebrate Military Night on May 22nd

May 8, 2009 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Omaha Beef News Release

During their next home game on Friday, May 22nd the Omaha Beef Professional Indoor Football Team will honor the men and women of the US military. The game kicks off at 7:05pm with doors opening at 6:00pm. All military personnel will be honored during pregame introductions beginning at 6:45pm. All active guard and reserve with a valid military ID will get free admission while all former military personnel with valid ID will get half price admission. All family and friends of both active and former personnel will also get half price admission.

This game is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. It will be a rematch between the Beef and the Colorado Ice. On May 2nd against the Ice, the Beef were able to snatch victory away from the claws of defeat. It all came down to the final play with only .4 seconds remaining on the clock. Beef quarterback James McNear scrambled and hit running back RJ Rollins with a 23 yard touchdown pass to win 70-68. While Beef players and coaches celebrated, the Colorado crowd was left stunned and breathless.

A heated cross conference rivalry has now been born. In this rematch, tempers will boil and bone crushing hits will be felt by all in attendance. Prepare your smelling salts as the Ice will most certainly be out for revenge. The Beef, however, plan to defend "The Slaughterhouse" at all costs. The Beef sit alone in first place at 5-2 in the United Conference, Central Division.

The entire Omaha Beef organization values the service and protection that all branches of the military provide. Their selfless dedication is what makes the United States of America such a great country in which to live. This is one small way that we would like to show our thanks. So come out to Military Night, Friday, May 22nd at 7:05pm. For ticket and discount information, please call 402-346-2333.
