London Lightning News Release

(WINDSOR, ON) - Underman and undersized, the London Lightning went into Friday's matchup with the Express without Amir Williams (illness), Cam Forte (bereavement), or Jordan Jensen-Whyte (hamstring), and fell to the Windsor Express for the first time this season, 110-92.

A lack luster first quarter doomed the Bolts as they scored just 15 points to Windsor's 33. Despite a much better second quarter showing with 36 points and closing the gap to just 7 points at half, that would be the closest London would get.

The Lightning would follow up their strong second quarter with a dismal third, failing to score a single basket in the first 6 and a half minutes, only managing to score 15 total. A better showing in the fourth was too little too late as the Lightning suffered their worst loss of the season.

Despite their struggles, Terry Thomas put up a season-high 35 points on the night, hitting 5-8 from deep. Newcomer Ryan Taylor made his debut and scored 18 points in the start while Jaylon Tate added 10 for the Bolts.

Jachai Taylor led the Express in the victory with 31 points while Billy White added 28 and a game-high 14 rebounds. Nick Garth (20 points), Tanner Stuckman (12 points) and Quinnel Brown (11 points) rounded out the scoring for Windsor.

The Lightning continue their road trip Saturday the 23rd in Kitchener-Waterloo.
