Beat Announces Regional Television Broadcast Schedule

ATLANTA (March 10, 2003) - The Atlanta Beat today announced its regional television schedule, as Comcast Sports Southeast / Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) will broadcast ten Beat games during the 2003 WUSA season. The agreement supplements PAX-TV's national coverage of five Beat games, for a total of 15 of 21 regular season matches available for viewers in the Atlanta area and across the Southeast.

"CSS is the perfect partner for the Beat. From both a broadcast and marketing perspectives," said Eddie Rockwell, General Manager of the Atlanta Beat. "CSS reaches nine states in the Southeast, giving us the opportunity to not only reach our hometown fans, but also develop new Atlanta Beat and WUSA fans throughout the Southeast."

The ten games to be broadcast on CSS include:

The Beat will join a lineup of programming on CSS that includes NCAA football, baseball and basketball, as well as NCAA soccer, volleyball and gymnastics. CSS also provides coverage of motor sports, extreme sports and golf.

The opening game of the CSS broadcast schedule will feature the Atlanta Beat versus the New York Power on the WUSA's opening day, Saturday, April 5. The match will be taped delayed and shown at 10 p.m. Each of the first four matches carried by CSS will follow the same airing schedule. The final six matches in the CSS schedule will air live.

The Beat opens up at home on April 5, 2003, versus the New York Power.
