BEARS TAKE GAME 1 OF WEEKEND SERIES

MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA: The Yuba City Bears rode Rickey Ramirez's hot arm to a 5-3 victory in the first game of a three game series between the Marysville Gold Sox and the Yuba City Bears. Ramirez pitched eight innings, striking out eight batters while only allowing one run. The Gold Sox rallied in the top half of the ninth inning behind a two-RBI single from Grant Horwitz but Dalton Bishop struck out the next batter to earn the save.
The series continues on Saturday at 7:05 as the Gold Sox host the Bears with fireworks presented by Feather Falls Casino Brewing Company scheduled for after the game. "A well played game by both teams tonight and a wonderful atmosphere that should be even better tomorrow with fireworks," said VP/GM Michael Mink." The Bears lead the Twin City Rivalry Series 2-1.
