Bears open stadium box office during Fourth Annual Box Office Debut

NEWARK, NJ - March 24, 2007 - The Newark Bears Professional Baseball Club opened the stadium box office for the first time this season during the Fourth Annual Box Office Debut, Saturday morning at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium. In addition, the Bears hosted National Anthem and in-game dance and performance team tryouts, and the Dirty Jerzey Motorcycle Stunt-Man group were on hand performing motorcycle stunts throughout the day.

Fans may purchase individual game tickets to all 72 home games at The Den, including Opening Night Celebration on Tuesday, May 8 featuring a magnetic schedule giveaway to all fans presented by IDT, a post-game fireworks spectacular presented by IDT, and special appearances by Reggy the Purple Party Dude and members of the 2006 Rutgers Football team.

"The Newark Bears would like to thank all the contestants and fans who came out to this very special event as we kicked off the 2007 season," said Bears General Manager John Brandt. "Today was a successful start to the season and continued the momentum we have established during the off-season."

The Newark Bears will begin their ninth season at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium on Tuesday, May 8 against the Bridgeport Bluefish. Fans attending all home games may park in the spacious parking garage located behind the wall in right field.
