New Bedford Bay Sox News Release
NEW BEDFORD, MA (Friday, May 6, 2011) - The New Bedford Bay Sox have announced they will be playing an exhibition game versus the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League on June 9th, 2011, at Paul Walsh field in New Bedford.
"To play a Cape team like the Gatemen is great for this whole community," said Bay Sox General Manager Andrew Cormier. "It gives the players an added experience and it gives the south coast a chance to see a collection of tomorrow's stars in their own backyard."
Scheduling the game was a joint effort between Cormier, former Bay Sox GM and current Holyoke Blue Sox GM Kirk Fredriksson, and Wareham team President and GM Tom Gay.
