Bay Sox Fall to Keene 5-3, and Slide to 0-5 Start

In a key game for the Bay Sox as they are looking for their first win of the season, weren't able to finish it out.

The starting pitcher for the Keene Swamp Bats, Luke Albright, and in relief Justin Willis were able to shut down any sign of life in the Bay Sox offense. Albright captured 11 strikeouts, while Willis had 5, making it a 16 strikeout combination on the Bay Sox.

When RJ Wagner entered the game in the 3rd inning he was already in trouble. With runners on first and second with 1 out. Wagner quickly got out of the inning after a highlight reel play at second base from Josh Goldstein (Southern New Hampshire) to get out of the inning.

The dominating pitching performance from Keene continued until the top of the 7th with the Bay Sox showing life. In just his second game with the Bay Sox, Jeremiah Adams (US Military Academy) singled earning a leadoff base hit, bringing up Alex Brickman (University of Dayton) to the plate. On the third pitch of the at bat, Brickman hits a two run 'Brick' shot, making it just a two run game in the 7th. Sam Henrie (Southern New Hampshire) who went 2 for 3 on the night, tried to continue the Bay Sox rally, but fell short.

The Bay Sox fall to the Swamp Bats 5-3, and slide to 0-5 on the season. Next game for the Bay Sox as they look for their first win of the season is on Thursday, as they take on the New Port Gulls. First pitch scheduled for 6:30pm at Paul Walsh field, weather pending.
