North Adams 1st basemen Brad Anderson hit a 2-run homerun shot in the top of the 2nd to aid the Steeplecats in their 8-5 victory over the New Bedford Bay Sox on Wednesday night at Paul Walsh Field.
Anderson had 3 out of the total 10 hits from the SteepleCats. The Bay Sox had 12 of their own hits, 5 coming from catcher Chris Travers (Freetown, MA) who also added 3 RBIs. Chris Shaw and Kurt Seiders each added a pair of hits.
Both teams made 4 pitching substitutions each throughout the game with a total strikeout count of 8 and 9 between North Adams and the Bay Sox respectively.
The Bay Sox loss put their record at 4-10 while the SteepleCats increase their record to 7-8.
The Bay Sox's next home game is Thursday June 27th at 6:30 pm at Paul Walsh Field.
