Battle of the Bats heats up

July 3, 2008 - National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) News Release


Carmen Paez (Riptide), swinging for COMBAT and Jenna Hall (Force), swinging for WORTH both had four homeruns in week four of the NPF Battle of the Bats competition, but Kate Robinson from the Racers maintained her lead on behalf of WILSON/DEMARINI by adding two more homeruns for an overall total of 11. Lyndsey Angus (Riptide) is in second place with a total of seven homeruns on behalf of WILSON/DEMARINI, Kristen Butler (Racers), swinging for WORTH is in third place with a total of six homeruns followed by a three-way tie for fourth by Paez, Hall and Jaime Clark (Bandits) who added two more to her score for MIZUNO bat.

The strong showing by Paez pushed COMBAT into third place with a total of 12 homeruns, WORTH has 20 homeruns and WILSON/DEMARINI is still at the top with a total of 29 homeruns. MIZUNO is right behind COMBAT with a total of 10 homeruns.

Honorable mention...The Venezuelan National team took part in the competition in week 4 with a total of four homeruns (1 for Combat, 2 for Wilson/DeMarini and 1 for Worth.)
