Buffalo Bandits News Release
BUFFALO, NY (November 21, 2012) --- Buffalo Bandits General Manager Steve Dietrich today announced that the Bandits have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with goaltender Anthony Cosmo.
"We are extremely happy to have Anthony back for another year," Dietrich said. "To be successful in this league you need to have a great goalie and we feel we have the best goalie in the game right now in Cosmo."
A 12-year NLL veteran, Cosmo (6'2", 205 lbs. 10/6/77) was acquired by the Bandits in a trade with the Minnesota Swarm last February, and eventually took over as the team's starting goaltender, compiling a 3-3 record and a 12.41 goals-against average.
Prior to joining the Bandits, Cosmo spent time with the Boston Blazers, San Jose Stealth and Toronto Rock. He was selected as the NLL Goaltender of the Year in 2007 as a member of the Stealth, and has appeared in three NLL All-Star games in his career, twice as a starter.
