
Bandits Hand Force 4-0 Loss

Elgin, Illinois - It was another tough evening for the Philadelphia Force as they dropped their second straight game to the Chicago Bandits at JU Sports Complex. The Force fell to the host Bandits by the final score of 4-0.
With the loss, Philadelphia's record fell to 0-2 on the year, while the Bandits improved to 2-0.
On the day, the Force was held to just two hits, while Chicago put up seven hits in game two of the five game series. Three of the Bandits four runs were earned in the first three innings of play.
For the Force, Danielle Kinley picked up the team's first double of the season. The 2009 Penn State University grad went 1-for-3 on the day and also had two putouts. Producing the teams only other hit was Clare Burnam. Burnam went 1-for-2 with one walk and also had a pair of putouts.
On the rubber three different Force pitchers made an appearance Thursday evening. Earning the start was Margo Pruis who allowed three runs on four hits in four complete innings. She also recorded one strikeout and two walks. Samantha Yodowitz made her first appearance of the season in the fifth inning, followed by Kristin Erb in the sixth.
Chicago's pitching duo of Eileen Canney and Brandice Balschmiter combined for six strikeouts and three walks respectively to earn the win.
Nicole Trimboli initially put the Bandits on the scoreboard in the bottom half of the second on a two run homer. Trimboli went 2-for-2 on the night with two RBI's and one run scored. The Bandits extended their lead in the third on an RBI single from Kristie Fox. The 4-0 victory was sealed in the fifth on an unearned run with two outs on the scoreboard.
