
Bakersfield, Long Beach Share Ticket Department Award

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Friday that the Bakersfield Condors
and the Long Beach Ice Dogs have been selected as the winners of the ECHL
Ticket Department of the Year award for 2004-05.
The Condors and Ice Dogs received their awards at the annual ECHL Marketing
and Communications Meetings held June 6-8 in Las Vegas. The meetings were
attended by more than 160 representatives from ECHL teams. The winner is
chosen in a vote of league general managers and ticketing managers.
Headed by Director of Ticket Sales Jose Rivera, Bakersfield increased its
regular attendance by 20 percent and ranked fifth in the league at 5,408
per game. The Condors, who had four regular-season crowds over 8,000
including a team record 8,562 on February 26, were third in Kelly Cup
Playoff attendance with 5,519 per game.
Long Beach increased its regular season attendance by more than 14 percent
from 2003-04, averaging 3,057 per game. The Ice Dogs had a team record
sellout crowd of 7,447 on February 26 and had two other crowds over 5,000.
