
Bagley Loaned To Revolution

Charleston Battery News Release
Charleston SC. Charleston Battery striker Chris Bagley has been loaned to Major League Soccer's New England Revolution until the end of the MLS season. Bagley played his first full year with the Battery in 2003 and played in the Championship game versus the Minnesota Thunder. Bagley saw action with the Revolution on Saturday, earning the OT penalty that midfielder Steve Ralston converted to earn New England a 1-0 win over DC United.
Bagley joined Charleston on loan late in the 2002 season following a successful rookie campaign with the Wilmington Hammerheads. Bagley scored three goals and added eight assists with the Hammerheads propelling them to the D3 Championship game. A native of Holbrook MA, Bagley has played in 24 games for the Battery scoring twice.
A four year starter at St Anselm, Bagley was a two-time All American and was twice voted Northeast 10 Player of the Year. Bagley majored in Criminal Justice.
Mark Watson
Battery Defender Mark Watson returned to the international stage on Saturday playing 90 minutes while captaining Canada in a 3-2 loss to Finland. Watson has now played 69 times for Canada; his international career highlights include appearing in five of Canada's eight World Cup qualifying matches in 2000. He also played in nine qualifying matches for the 1994 World Cup and was a member of the Canadian side that won the 2000 Gold Cup.
Battery Fall & Winter Schedule
The Charleston Battery is offering several programs this fall and winter for soccer players of all ages and abilities. In addition to the Fall Academy the Battery is offering a new Tiny Tots day camp, an after-school soccer program for children, a 3 v 3 Championship tournament and a holiday camp at the end of the year.
