Avalanche Assign Montgomery To Knights

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter today announced that the Colorado Avalanche have reassigned Defenseman Kevin Montgomery to the London Knights. Montgomery, 20 had been playing for the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League. Montgomery, 20 will begin his 3rd season in the Ontario Hockey League with the Knights. He was the Knights 5th Round Selection at the 2004 OHL Draft. Montgomery was a member of the US National Junior Team in 2008. He was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the 4th Round at the 2006 NHL Draft. The London Knights return to action on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 when they travel to Owen Sound to face the Attack. The London Knights return home on Friday, November 7, 2008 vs. Owen Sound.
