
Austin's Lance Thomas Signs with New Orleans Hornets

NEW YORK, Feb. 6 2012 ? The New Orleans Hornets today signed forward Lance Thomas of the Austin Toros for the 19th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season. Thomas, who was originally Called-Up to the Hornets in December 2011, joins 101 NBA Players with NBA D-League experience currently on 2011-12 rosters.
Thomas (6-8, 225, Duke) has appeared in 19 games for the Toros this season, averaging 15.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 32.6 minutes. He scored in double-figures 16 times, including a season-high 25 points in the season opener on Nov. 26, against the Texas Legends.
Thomas rejoins the Hornets, having appeared in two regular season games, averaging 0.5 points, before being released on Dec. 31.
Thomas is expected to join the Hornets this afternoon and be available tonight when the team hosts the Sacramento Kings.
