RECAP/PREVIEW: The Bruins only managed one win in their three-Âin-Âthree this past weekend. They took it down to the wire on Thursday night against Brookings with a last minute goal in the third period to tie the game and force overtime. Austin eventually outlasted the Blizzard in a 10-Âround shootout for the victory. On Friday, the Bruins were shutout 5-Â0 against the Aberdeen Wings. While they were able to get a goal on Saturday night, they still fell by a final score of 5-Â1. Garrett Dahm was the lone goal scorer for the black-Âand-Âgold on Saturday night. Kyle McClellan started all three games on the weekend, going 1-Â2.
Up next the Bruins wrap up their regular season with a pair of games against the Bismarck Bobcats at Riverside Arena. Austin is 4-Â5-Â0-Â1 against the Bobcat this season and have been on a little bit of a skid, having lost the last four to the Bobcats. The Bruins have already clinched a playoff spot and could fall anywhere from 2nd to 4th by the time the weekend is over.
PLAYOFF SCENARIO: For 2nd seed -Â Bruins win two versus Bismarck; Minot loses twice to Brookings
For 3rd seed -Â Bruins win two versus Bismarck; Minot wins one or more against Brookings
For 4th seed -Â Bruins lose one or more versus Bismarck
