Austin Elite Named Major League Rugby Team of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY - The Austin Elite were named the Major League Rugby Team of the Week the League announced today. The Elite have now won two in-a-row and sit in third place after a 41-33 win over Utah.
Austin benefited from a five-try outburst to score a season-high 41 points and improve to 3-3. Leading by as much as 32-12, the Elite used a series of crafty tries and converted 4-of-5 penalty kicks to hold off the visiting Warriors. Austin has not trailed in their last two matches.
Glendale's Will Magie earned Player of the Week honors. Magie used keen vision and timing to account for 17 of the Raptors' 47 points with a try and six conversions. He has established himself as one of the preeminent fly-halfs in MLR with strong carries and hard tackling.
