Austin Bruins Return Home this Weekend

Following a frustrating trip to Aberdeen over the weekend, the Bruins will return to Riverside Arena March 9th and 10th to host the Brookings Blizzard as the regular season winds down. Friday night is "Disability Awareness Night" with the Arc of Mower County and Saturday is the annual "Pacelli Night."

The Mower County Arc is selling discounted tickets to members and will have an informational table in the lobby on Friday night. They will also be running a 50/50 raffle and giving away a charcoal grill set. Pacelli Night centers around raising funds for Pacelli Catholic schools. The high school is selling a combo pack which includes a ticket to the game, a Pacelli night t-shirt, coupons to Family Video, Perkins, Papa Murphy's and Games People Play, and a bonus ticket to the Bruins' March 23rd game against the Minnesota Magicians. Packages sell for $25, with $15 of each one sold benefiting Pacelli schools. Following the game, a one-of-a-kind Pacelli themed jersey - worn by Bruiser will be live auctioned - proceeds also going to Pacelli. Game time is 7:05 both nights, with doors opening at 6:00 PM.

The Bruins fell six points behind Aberdeen for first place in the Central Division after losing by matching 3-0 scores this past Friday and Saturday on the road. They still hold a solid position on a playoff spot and home ice advantage for the first round. Eleven games remain in the regular season.
