Atlantic League Names Player/Pitcher of the Month for July 2026

(New York) - Second baseman Nick Dunn of the York Revolution and High Point Rockers pitcher Kent Emanuel have been honored as the Atlantic League's Player and Pitcher of the Month for July 2026. Dunn led the ALPB in batting average, hits, doubles and triples between July 1-31 while Emanuel led all Atlantic League starters in ERA.
Dunn, 29, helped lead the Revolution to a remarkable 22-5 record in July in which the Revs built a 3.5 game lead in the North Division in the second half. Dunn played in all 27 games, collecting 45 hits in 113 at-bats for a .398 average. He posted a .504 on-base percentage and a .726 slugging percentage for a 1.229 OPS for the month. Dunn led all ALPB hitters with 45 hits, 13 doubles and three triples while finishing second in the league with 31 RBI and 24 walks. He had 14 multi-hit games including a five-hit effort at Lancaster on July 25 and a four-hit game vs. Staten Island on July 1.
Emanuel, 34, went 3-0 in six starts in July and posted a 2.45 ERA, tops among league starters. Over 33 innings, he allowed 12 hits and just nine earned runs while walking five and striking out 42. Opposing batters managed just a .220 batting average against Emanuel in July while he posted a 0.97 WHIP. The left-hander posted wins at Lexington and at Staten Island and earned a home win vs. Lexington. He had two starts in which he did not yield a run.
The Atlantic League will hit the midway point of the second half following this week's contests which feature a pair of three-game sets for each team. The top two clubs in the North Division will meet at York on Tuesday as the division-leading Revolution (21-5) host the second place Long Island Ducks (18-9). The South Division leader, the Lexington Legends (15-11), will be at home to host the Charleston Dirty Birds (12-15). A critical South Division series will pit second place Southern Maryland (14-12) at Gastonia (13-14) starting on Tuesday. Other midweek series include the High Point Rockers (13-14) visiting the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars (11-16) and the Staten Island FerryHawks (6-21) playing at the Lancaster Stormers (10-16).
