Saint John Riptide News Release
The Saint John Mill Rats have made it to the Atlantic Division Championship Series for the first time in franchise history, and will start the series in Halifax on Saturday May 14th.
Halifax won the regular season, finishing with the best record overall (29-11), but lost the season series vs the Mill Rats 6-5. As a result, they earned the #1 seed and homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs. The Hurricanes record overall now stands at 32-11 after a first round sweep of the Island Storm. The Mill Rats are 28-16 after defeating the Moncton Miracles 3 games to 1.
The Mill Rats leading scorer, Gabe Freeman, will miss Game 1 due to a two-game suspension that he incurred in the Moncton series.
