
Atlantic City Blackjacks Assigned Three Additional Players

ATLANTIC CITY- The Atlantic City Blackjacks announce that three players have been assigned to the team roster. Per League and team rules, terms are not disclosed. The free agency signing period for the Arena Football League began on Monday, March 4.
Antron Dillon, Defensive Line
Originally from Hammond, Louisiana, Dillon attended the University of North Alabama. He first committed to play football for the Vanderbilt Commodores but transferred to Southwest Mississippi Community college for two seasons. Then he transferred again to North Alabama where he played for them in 2007 and after a two-year gap, played for them again in 2010.
His professional career started in 2012, Dillon was assigned to the Arizona Rattlers on a two-year deal. There he helped the Rattlers to two ArenaBowl championships in 2013 and 2014. He has played for several teams including the Portland Thunder, Los Angeles KISS, Jacksonville Sharks, Tampa Bay Storm and this year he plays for the Florida Tarpons. In his career he has 93.5 tackles, 11 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. "I chose AC because I believe Coach James will put together a championship caliber team. I know the type of character he demands in his players and I want to be a part of that." Dillon said.
Denzel Keyes, Wide Receiver
Keyes was raised in Kinston, North Carolina and went on to play football for North Carolina A&T. There he set the school record for career touchdowns with 25. In 43 games, he totaled 111 receptions for 1,333 yards. "I joined AC because I felt like it was an opportunity from God to get back out there, have fun and make plays!" Keyes exclaimed.
Tyriq McCord, Defensive Line
McCord, from Tampa, Florida, played football for the University of Miami from 2013-2015. He appeared in 33 games getting 95 tackles, 53 of them being solo tackles, 10.5 sacks and 3 interceptions. In 2016 he spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers but quickly moved onto the Hamilton Tiger Cars of the CFL in 2017. This year he has played for the Orlando Apollos and the Atlanta Legends of the AAF.
The Atlantic City Blackjacks' inaugural campaign will begin on the road on Saturday, April 27th against the three-time League champions, Philadelphia Soul, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date. The Blackjacks will play their first ever home game at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall on Saturday, May 4 against the Columbus Destroyers.
