
Atlantic City Blackjacks Assign Two Players to Roster

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ- The Atlantic City Blackjacks announce that two players have been assigned to the team roster. Per League and team rules, terms are not disclosed. The free agency signing period for the Arena Football League began on Monday, March 4.
Raymond McNeil, Offensive Line
McNeil is originally from Riverside, California and played for the Fort Valley State Wildcats from 2002-2005. He was the starter in his final two and a half years and was a Second Team All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection as a senior.
His professional career started after he signed with the Green Bay Blizzard in 2008. There he was named First Team All-af2 the following season. McNeil has played for eight other AFL teams in his career and received First Team All-Arena honors in 2017 with the Tampa Bay Storm. In 2018 he was selected in the third round of the 2017 China Arena Football League draft and was assigned to the Baltimore Brigade for the 2018 season.
Warren Oliver, Wide Receiver
Warren Oliver was another player to be selected from the Blackjacks open tryout. Oliver, a native of Palmyra, New Jersey went to Lycoming College and led the Warriors with 28 receptions for 521 yards and six touchdowns. He holds the school record for most yards in a game with 215. He then transferred to Rowan University racking up some big numbers. Oliver played 21 games with the Profs and had 54 receptions, 639 yards and seven touchdowns. He also served as the kick returner and put up 166 yards. In 2014 he was named to the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team and received the Gordon Masters College Player of the Year award.
Professionally, he played for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks in 2016. In eight games there he had ten touchdowns. He also attended training camp with the Philadelphia Soul. Oliver then went back to Lehigh in 2017 and started in all games. He finished the season with 15 touchdowns and 575 yards. The NAL Most Improved Player was awarded to Oliver. Last year he played for the Duke City Gladiators of the CIF and started 9 games. The team went on to win the championship.
"I'm excited to report to camp in my own backyard," said Oliver. "I can't wait to play in Atlantic City, the city I was raised in. I am looking forward to getting out there and competing and I will soak up all the information the veterans have to give."
The Atlantic City Blackjacks' inaugural campaign will begin on the road on Saturday, April 27th against the three-time League champions, Philadelphia Soul, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date. The Blackjacks will play their first ever home game at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall on Saturday, May 4 against the Columbus Destroyers.
