GREENEVILLE, TN - Bargain shoppers, treasure hunters, and antique collectors of all kinds will be making their way to Pioneer Park, home of the Greeneville Astros on Friday, June 26, 2015. Gizmo's Flea Market will offer area residents a place to shop and take in a baseball game.
Beginning at 10:00am, fans can enter Pioneer Park to find their next treasure. They can stay and catch the Astros as they take on the Danville Braves at 7:00pm. Vendors will be set up along the concourse for shoppers to peruse during the day and for fans to shop during the game.
Gizmo encourages fans and vendors alike to participate in his community flea market. There will also be a pregame concert by the Caribbean Cowboys starting at 5:00pm. The game starts at 7:00pm and will be followed by Friday Night Fireworks.
Vendor Space is limited, so potential vendors are encouraged to submit their reservations early. The booth cost is $20 and the deadline to reserve a booth is Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Vendors wishing to participate receive two passes to the game, a table and two chairs. Booths will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Vendors are responsible for their own sales. Those who wish to be a vendor at Gizmo's Flea Market can call the Astros administrative office at (423) 638-0411 to reserve a spot.
In addition to the booth space, all vendors will be eligible for a first pitch opportunity at the game. More importantly, vendors can also avoid the hassle of taking unsold items home as the Astros will deliver all unsold items to charity should the vendor desire following the conclusion of the game [certain exclusions and rules do apply].
The Greeneville Astros are the Appalachian League affiliate of the Houston Astros. The Home Opener is scheduled for Thursday, June 25th at 7:00pm against the Bristol Pirates. For more information, visit www.greenevilleastros.com.
