TULSA, Okla. (November 30, 2011) - Tulsa's annual Arvest Winterfest presented by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation will get an acrobatic lift this year as the Tulsa Shock's Volt will participate in "Foxy Fridays" throughout the month of December.

Volt will be ice skating, taking photos, assisting in horse and carriage rides and helping with on-stage performances. Foxy Fridays will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on December 2, 16 and 23.

"We are thrilled to have Volt involved with one of the largest events of the year in Tulsa," Shock President Steve Swetoha said. "I would like to personally thank Arvest Bank for allowing us this opportunity as well as for putting on this great event in downtown Tulsa every year."

Volt will also be an official judge during the Weiner Dog Races on Ice and Holiday Pet Costume contest presented by Pupsicles on Sunday December 11 at 1:00 p.m.

Winterfest, the area's largest outdoor holiday celebration, is now guaranteed to be a reality through 2012 thanks to a unique public/private partnership between Arvest and the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation. The 38-day event, open daily from November 26, 2010 through January 2, 2011 (weather permitting), will feature outdoor ice skating beneath the skyline, delicious seasonal concessions, horse and carriage rides and free holiday entertainment on the ONEOK Outdoor Stage. This year's celebration will feature several new enhancements including a nostalgic Ferris wheel and carousel and a Holiday Market in the BOK Center Grand Lobby.
