
Armada to Go Pink in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the American Cancer Society

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - To recognize the fight against breast cancer and support October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Jacksonville Armada FC will a wear a signature pink jersey during its next two home matches at Community First Park. A portion of proceeds from both matches will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Both matches on Oct. 3 against the Indy Eleven, presented by Brumos, and Oct.17 against FC Edmonton, presented by We Got Soccer, will also feature a series of match activities to recognize the survivors who have battled the disease. Survivors will also be saluted prior to the match by being invited to raise the ceremonial flag and join the captains on the field for the coin toss prior to kickoff.
Following the Oct. 17 match, the game-worn pink jerseys which will be auctioned off online, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society's Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk to help finish the fight against breast cancer.
During this Saturday's match, the Armada FC will also hand out pink scarves presented by Brumos to the first 2,000 fans to arrive at Community First Park. Armada fans are encouraged wear pink to each match.
