
Arkansas Impact Joins Premier Basketball League

(Little Rock, AR)... The Arkansas Impact, a new professional basketball team based in Little Rock, has been accepted into the Premier Basketball League for the inaugural PBL season beginning in January of 2008.
"We are proud in helping to bring professional basketball back to Arkansas", said Impact Owner Mike Land. "The PBL is a well funded organization with great leadership and we are excited to be a part of something very special."
"The Arkansas Impact will be a great addition to the PBL," said President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Doyle. "Mike Land will bring a tremendous product to basketball fans in Little Rock,"
The Arkansas Impact are scheduled to play in the 7,150-seat Barton Coliseum on the grounds of the Arkansas State Fairgrounds in Little Rock. This legendary arena plays host to concerts, shows and other sporting events year-round.
The Premier Basketball League is comprised of well-funded partners and teams from proven top-caliber franchises and will feature teams in 11 North American markets.
The league projects growth in North America and overseas for the 2008-2009 season and beyond with innovative initiatives to bring both the PBL teams to overseas markets, as well as European and Asian teams to America to participate in PBL inter-league play.
