Arizona's Andrew Engelage Named Oakley Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (January 14, 2014) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Arizona Sundogs goaltender Andrew Engelage has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending January 12, 2014. This marks the second time this season that Engelage has been honored with the weekly award (Nov. 19).

The Oshawa, Ontario native was perfect in every way last week earning shutouts in both starts. First was a 30 save effort in St. Charles on Friday and then a 27 save performance in Quad City. Engelage has gone 206:25 without allowing a goal, the fifth longest scoreless minute streak in CHL history.

On the season, the goalie is 12-8-1 with a 2.53 goals against average (third in the CHL) and a .913 save percentage (tied for fifth in the CHL). His four shutouts are tops in the league.
