Arizona Takes Top Spot in Coaches Poll

TULSA - The Arizona Rattlers jumped into the top spot in the Week 3 Poll after a 69-20 road victory over QB Bobby Reid and the Tulsa Talons. Arizona QB Nick Davila threw for 158 yards and four touchdowns in just the first half. Arizona took the opportunity to sit many of their starters in the second half, due to a 42-0 halftime lead. The Rush received five first place votes and jumped into second place after defeating previous top ranked San Jose, 54-41, in Week 3.
The Orlando Predators jumped up one spot to third place after a home victory over the Utah Blaze, 68-53. The Predators will now face number one-ranked Arizona on Saturday, April 2 at 10:00p.m. EST. The Cleveland Gladiators jumped up two spots in the Poll, defeating Tampa Bay, 66-26. Cleveland will have their home opener against QB Russ Michna and the Chicago Rush on Saturday at 4:00p.m. EST.
Jacksonville moved up two spots in the Poll after defeating the New Orleans VooDoo, 64-33, in Week 3. After losing their season opener to Arizona, the Sharks have rebounded by winning their last two games against division foes. The team will now travel to Tampa Bay to play on NFL Network's "Arena Football Friday" on April 1 at 8:00p.m. EST. Dallas dropped two spots in the Poll, after a bye in Week 3. The Vigilantes will head to Utah to face QB Tommy Grady and the Blaze's high-powered offense on Thursday, March 31 at 9:00p.m. EST.
San Jose and Utah both lost in Week 3 and finished in the bottom half of the Top 10. Both teams lost to opponents who are currently in the top five. The SaberCats will look to return to winning form against Iowa on Friday, April 1. Pittsburgh remained in tenth position in the poll after a narrow road victory, 49-47, against Milwaukee. The Power will look to stay on track as they host the Tulsa Talons this week. The Philadelphia Soul moved up one spot in the Poll after a bye in Week 3.
