ArenaBowl XXI location announced

ArenaBowl XXI will take place in New Orleans on July 29, 2007 at 3:00pm ET, as announced today by the Arena Football League. This will be the first championship game, professional or collegiate, hosted in New Orleans since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

Nineteen teams will compete this season for a chance to play in the first ArenaBowl to be hosted by New Orleans. In the past, New Orleans has hosted nine Super Bowls, four Final Fours and 71 Sugar Bowls.

ArenaBowl weekend will be filled with interactive and celebrity events, the annual ArenaBall Awards Show, a player combine, concerts, fan festivals and more. Significant community relations efforts will also be a part of the events leading up to the game.

AFL fans throughout the country can immediately go to www.arenabowl.com to register on a priority list for tickets and to reserve rooms at the Sheraton New Orleans, which will serve as the Official Headquarter Hotel of ArenaBowl XXI.
