AquaSox Break First-Day, Single-Game Ticket Sales Record

The Everett AquaSox began their 20th season in Everett by setting a new first-day of single-game ticket sales record with more than 1,000 tickets sold during their annual FanFest last Saturday. More than 800 people took part in the festivities that included a free barbecue lunch for everyone and free activities for kids at the AquaSox' Stadium Store near Everett Memorial Stadium.
"It's always fun," said AquaSox fan and FanFest attendee, Teresa Sarsted. "It was well-organized and there was more for the kids to do this year. The kids looked like they were having a great time.
The Famous Chicken Night (July 25) and bobblehead doll giveaway and fireworks nights are the fastest selling tickets, though good seats are still available. The season starts in less than a month, with Opening Night set for Wednesday, June 18, when the Sox take on their northern neighbors, the Vancouver Canadians.
